Why Learn English?

English is a world language and worth learning.
English is easier to learn than you though. But, mastering American English is also more difficult than you can imagine.
Survival English, the strategy that you can master with a little effort can get you by.
Advanced English is as intricate as Chinese, and few Americans reach that level of proficiency…so you don’t have to worry.
The reason that English presents a difficult learning challenge is that…
- English uses more words than other languages
- American use plenty of constantly evolving (morphing) idioms
- American school children are taught not to repeat the same word in a sentence or paragraph. They use alternate words for the same thing, idea, concept for each sentence or paragraph
- English spelling relies upon multiple rules and exceptions
- English is not a phonetic language
- English uses an alphabet of 26 letters, but there are at least 46 sounds in English
So, time to start learning! You can do it.
